George Messo

George Messo in the foothills of Mount Damavand, Iran.

George Messo is a poet, editor, translator and teacher. His most recent book of poems, Violades & Appledown, was published in 2012 by Shearsman Books. He is the editor of the  Turkish Modern Poets series for Red Hand Books and the editor of the international journal Turkish Poetry Today.

George Messo is a Fellow of The Royal Asiatic Society and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.
